The first illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone will be released worldwide on Oct. 6. The 110-page book's illustrator is renowned UK artist Jim Kay, who said he was inspired by museums, libraries, churches and galleries.
According to the publishers, the rest of the illustrated Harry Potter series will be released in 6 consecutive years, with one book per year.
The Harry Potter series, since its release by the UK writer J.K. Rowling at the end of the 20th century, has raised a storm of magic. Exceeding a sales volume of 450,000,000, it has been translated to 8 languages and made into 8 Hollywood movies.
