We will also start shooting pornographic movies if our voice are heard- FIPAG

We will also start shooting pornographic movies if our voice are heard- Movie producers
Some will also start shooting pornographic movies in Ghana are threatening to venture into the production of pornographic movies if their grievances are not heard.

The producers are warning that if television stations, who show foreign soaps with explicit scenes, do not desist from the act, they will also start shooting pornographic movies.

The Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), Ola Micheals made their intentions known during an interview with Black I on the Daybreak Hitz (Showbiz Review) Show on Hitz FM.
“If we can’t tame the TV stations, let the producers also produce porno movies, and let’s move on,” he said.

According to him, the lack of examination of the content that airs on some Ghanaian television stations is discouraging and is contributing to the proliferation of pornography.

He threatened that if the rules are not checked, he, together with some producers, will start filming pornography films in Ghana.
Ola said, it seems the broadcasting industry has no law governing the industry paving way for television stations to show foreign soaps without editing.

“You look at the kissing and the fondling scenes and ask yourself if I put this thing in our movies will it be allowed,” he quizzed.
The FIPAG PRO went ahead to say that, if half of the things showed on TV were fused into their movies, Ghanaians will give them names such as “soft porn”.

He likened the movie industry to a jungle because everyone is permitted to do what pleases them.
“We should allow it to go on so that people can also make money from porno movies instead of going through poverty.”

Ola further disclosed that, shooting a pornographic movie is less expensive saying “it takes few thousands of cedis to shoot a porn movie and trust me people will watch”
“So producers are also going to start investing in porno,” he concluded.

“I almost cried on stage” after winning the GMAs - Edward Kufuor

Edward Kufuor
Ghanaian actor Edward Kufuor has told Starr Entertainment his win at the 2014 Ghana Movie Awards ceremony came as a surprise to him.

The son of former President John Kufuor who recently burst into the acting scene and has featured in three movies so far, won Best Actor in Supporting Role for his role in the movie When Love Comes Around - a film produced by beautiful Ghanaian actress Zynell Zuh and directed by Afe Olumowe, who also penned hits like Chelsea and directed the critically acclaimed thriller The Voice.

Edward said on Wednesday February 11, 2015, he was “not expecting to win”.

“For the first time in my life I was speechless. And for a minute there, I was like Oh!

"That was all I could say and then I run up there [to the stage], and when I got up there, it was so overwhelming looking around and just to see everyone was just really appreciative”.

He added: “I had to compose myself because I almost cried, actually. The emotions just cropped up and then I told myself; don’t do it! The recognition is always good.

"The acknowledgement is always good. But for a moment, I thought to myself, did I just beat all these people?”

According to him, his astonishment was not necessarily a result of doubt in his abilities.

“It was not because I wasn’t confident in my acting abilities. But I was in this category with all these veteran actors - Kofi Ajorlolo, Chris Attoh and I think even Agya Koo was in there or Lil-Win. So I was just happy to be nominated.

"This was the third time so I said okay. I was sitting there messing with my phone they called me and said you’ve won. But I didn’t even hear, my wife was like hey honey,” he recounted.

If it's nice, flaunt it - Actress Moyesha

celebritiesjoint.moyesha bodoung
Moyesha Bodoung
She may look relatively new on the Ghana movie scene but actress Moyesha Boduong is one who cannot go unnoticed in movies such as A Sting in a Tail, Die With Me, Blood line, Vi times, Yvonne’s Tears, Hostage, Vultures of Horror, The Last Part and Mysterious Girls.

In real life, her picture poses and appearances at showbiz events are “show stoppers” thanks to her unusually body shape. Her big butt is especially noticeable.

“It is not as if I do those poses or wear dresses to bring my curves out intentionally, the truth is that, there is nothing I can do about it”, she told Showbiz.

I can’t hide these curves and if you can’t hide something, the best thing to do is to appreciate and flaunt it just as the Bible says that everything God created is beautiful.

You can’t hide what is beautiful. It is loving one’s body and that is one thing that I always keep in mind. It is part of my body and if I don’t love and appreciate it, no one will,” she told Showbiz.

In an interview with Moesha who returned to Ghana last week after a movie shoot in Nigeria, she disclosed that even though her curves serve as a compliment, at other times she receives certain attentions she is not comfortable with.

“Sometimes the kind of attention I get from people, guys especially, when I attend events or go to the beach is undesirable. Because of how enticing I look in these dresses, some men come to me with certain requests and demands which do not go down well with me.

“Recently I went to the beach to cool off so I wore a bikini. As I was walking along the shore, I got guys who actually wanted to touch my bum and for me it was very embarrassing and I resolved not to wear bikini anymore,” she said.

“On the flip side, this butt and curves have earned me some good deals from some fashion designers who think I possess the kind of image they want out there. Because of my stature, everything I wear look good on me and it also got me some movie roles as well,” she added.

She disclosed that, she did not go through any special work sessions to get the kind of curves she has as other women do. “No I don’t go through any special workout to have this curves but that doesn’t mean I don’t work out. I do because I need to stay healthy”.

Talking about her movie career she said; “so far so good. It has not been all rosy, I have had my share of disappointments. It was not easy for me to break through but with God on my side, hard work and the never giving up spirit, I am making it. But I believe the journey has just began and we will get there.”

According to Moyesha, she has always wanted to act but she took it seriously as a career two years ago. She is a graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon where she studied Theatre Arts.

She described herself as principled, God fearing, fun to be with and is guided by the principle that, “whatever you find yourself doing, do it diligently because you may never know who is watching.

Schwarzenegger defends Mzbel in "Jesus was made" up saga

celebritiesjoint.Afia Schwarzenegger
Afia Schwarzenegger
Outspoken TV presenter Afia Schwarzenegger has jumped to the defence of her best friend Mzbel who is on record to have said she does not believe in the existence of Jesus Christ.

The singer who was speaking to TV talk show host, Stacy, on Restoration, over the weekend said she is confident stories about the ‘holy son of God’ were made up.

"I don't want to offend anybody. I used to believe in 'it' but eerrmm, I did my own research and I think 'it' was made up but I might be wrong, but by my own research, it was made up. Because the same story 5000 years ago happened in Egypt..."

She has since come under a lot of flak since her infamous confessions but her friend Afia Schwarzenegger says Ghanaians are being over judgmental.

"Why are some Ghanaians like this...so you wanted her to lie??

"I believe in Jesus; the power in the blood of Jesus and I also believe that he is the son of God...that also doesn't mean I hate Muslims neither do I despise Jewish, pagans nor Hindus who's got no business with the man Jesus...I was privileged to practice a little Islam in the north and I can confidently tell u that nothing in the holy Quran depict Jesus as the son of God in fact his name is Anabi issah in the holy Quran

"...I stand to be corrected Not every Ghanaian was born a Christian and if I go through what Mzbel dashed through in the hands of a pastor...I will change religion with speed.

"And the bible says whosoever that believeth not whosoever joins the crowd. Christians must learn to be tolerant...Mzbel is a Jewish and She worships God directly not thru Jesus Christ...

"Enough of the insults wai cos you don't even know if Jesus is the real deal till we all get to heaven, just because we grew up knowing only Jesus doesn't necessarily mean other religions are wrong and stop fighting unnecessary battle for the lord for his name is mighty warrior,if he is mad he will react on his own.

"Accepting other religion is termed maturity,"

In a second status update, Schwarzenegger wrote

"Then we have all of you (Soldiers of christ) attacking one person because of her belief/religion.

"Meanwhile, we have the likes of Obinnim, Opambuors, kumchacha and co mocking the name of Jesus and making money of him on national television...

"What have you done...should I use the word Cowards or Hypocrites??

"When it comes to things that matters we have a few men in this country to address it but in terms of nonfa u will see the masses".

Afia Schwarzenegger has publicly claimed her affinity for Jesus and her dedication to spreading the gospel of Christ.
